Plamen Russev has been appointed Goodwill Ambassador for Digital Affairs of his home country – Republic of Bulgaria and a member of European Commission’ BOF.
Dr. Russev’ work and impact have been recognised and awarded by governments, associations and NGOs along with 2 honorary doctorates from Universities in Europe and South America. Plamen Russev is featured in hundreds of international and local media including The Economist, Bloomberg, CNBCe, Forbes, Venture Beat, CNN to name a few.

Arne is a Founding Partner at Kiko Ventures, a $450 million evergreen VC dedicated to climate tech investing. Kiko was set up recently by three climate tech veterans and uses an innovative structure to address some of the most challenging, but also most rewarding, opportunities in climate tech. Arne has been in climate tech for 20+ years, as a scientist, a consultant, and an investor. His current board roles at Kiko include Vytal Global GmbH, the world’s largest reuse system for food packaging.
Before Kiko, Arne was a General Partner at cleantech pioneer ETF Partners for 14 years, where he invested in over 50 transactions across all stages, sectors, and regions. Investments at ETF included sustainable leather firm E-leather, grid software developer Greenbird, and logistics platform Movinga. Prior to ETF, Arne was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. He originally started his career as a scientist, leading a research team at Cambridge University developing novel solar cells.
Arne holds a Diploma in physics with distinction from Munich University, a PhD in materials science from Cambridge where he was a Gates Scholar, and a Finance MBA from London Business School. He was a founder of the Cambridge Tech Ventures Conference and the European Venture Capital Network.
