Anton Petrov

Anton Petrov serves as the Chief Compliance Officer and Member of the Management Board of First Investment Bank (Fibank), where he oversees the strategic direction of regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering, governance, and sustainable development. Since joining the bank in 2017, he has held several senior legal and compliance positions before being appointed CCO in 2023 and a Board Member in 2025. Mr. Petrov possesses extensive expertise in financial regulation, risk management, and EU law, developed through key roles in both the private and public sectors, including experience at PwC and within the Bulgarian administration. He holds Master’s degrees in Law and Finance from the University of National and World Economy and a joint program between the American University in Bulgaria and SDA Bocconi. He is widely recognized for his significant contributions to the fields of compliance and governance across Central and Eastern Europe.
